An original 3D film following the businesses behind a portfolio: a source update, a monitoring signal and the next review. Built as a continuously animated scene.

Illustrative monitoring workflow. A moving business model shows a fictional company receiving an annual-accounts update and an example review being assigned. It is a conceptual animation, not live company data or a real customer portfolio.

04 / From signal to follow-up

Give every change
a useful next step.

An event needs context, an owner and a recorded outcome. Use these suggested workflows as a starting point for your own review process.

  1. 01

    Match the legal entity

Start with country and registration identifier. Resolve the company behind your contract.

  2. 02

    Set the review scope

Agree supported indicators, source timing, portfolio ownership and delivery needs.

  3. 03

    Check the evidence

Read the changed record with its dates and the company’s existing information.

  4. 04

    Record the outcome

Document the reviewer, rationale and next review. Keep decisions in your own policy.

Business credit monitoring / FAQs

Know what
you’re watching.

Practical answers for enterprise credit, procurement and data teams.

01

What is business credit monitoring?

Business credit monitoring is an ongoing review of supported company changes after an initial credit check. It helps teams identify when a customer or supplier deserves another look. Its usefulness depends on correct entity matching, relevant indicators, source timing and a defined follow-up process.

02

How is company credit monitoring different from a one-off credit report?

A report describes the information available at a point in time. Monitoring follows supported changes after that review. Use an alert to identify what changed, then examine the relevant record and current company report before deciding whether your existing assessment still holds.

03

Which company changes can I monitor?

The published Watch Companies documentation includes changes to company status, annual financial reports, directors and officers, shareholdings, group structure, name, address and identifiers. Confirm the available fields for your actual companies and markets before setting up the portfolio.

04

Can I monitor changes to business credit scores and credit limits?

Discuss assessment refresh and score or limit alerts for your company list. These are separate from registry-event coverage. The historical example on this page shows dated score and limit movements; it does not establish that a credit-score alert is supported for every company or market.

05

How often does company monitoring update?

Timing depends on when the underlying source publishes a change, when the information is collected and when your agreed delivery runs. Confirm source refresh, detection and delivery expectations by market. An event date and an alert date may be different.

06

Can I monitor customers and suppliers in multiple countries?

Discuss your international portfolio with our team. Overall company intelligence covers 600 million companies across 200 countries, while individual monitoring indicators and financial depth vary. Validate the company match, required event types and source timing for each market.

07

How can supplier risk monitoring support procurement?

A supported change can prompt a supplier review before renewal, a new commitment or a continuity discussion. Combine the company record with your own criticality, open orders, contract terms and alternative supply options. A director change alone does not establish financial distress.

08

Can company monitoring alerts connect to our systems?

The Watch Companies API documents webhook delivery and company event history. Agree the monitored fields, country coverage and integration requirements with your team. Confirm how your systems will receive, deduplicate, assign and retain events before rollout. MCP access is also available for compatible AI workflows; confirm the specific tools and data required separately from webhook monitoring.

09

Does no alert mean a company’s credit risk has not changed?

No. An absence of alerts can reflect source delays, limited field coverage, unchanged published records or the indicators selected. Keep periodic reviews alongside event-based monitoring and record missing information explicitly. A quiet feed is not evidence of a clean company.

10

How do we start business credit monitoring for a portfolio?

Use Contact Us and share your company list, countries, identifiers, required events and delivery needs. Agree matching, field coverage, source timing and the review workflow. If you need to inspect report content first, explore the interactive sample or request a PDF with your name, email, phone and company name.
